PowerExplorer
Mammoth Software has release, PowerExplorer, that lets you view attached PowerFile DVD changers and perform some basic changer operations on them. I wonder if it works with derivative changers like the Sony XL1B2 and the Niveus Ice Vault?
I just tried it with my Sony XL1B2 and it didn’t work, the software didn’t find any changers, too bad too looks like a useful app.
Actually it does support Sony XL1B2 and depending upon the hardware identification of Niveus, it might work with that as well. Most likely you’re running another application (like Media Center), which has a handle to the device already. I believe the latest version of PowerExplorer will now identify the unit even if its unaccessible.
