Longhorn Blogs, Microsoft’s New Year’s Present: No MCE in 5270 :

If you’re testing 5270’s Media Center functionality, you’re now out of luck. The newsgroups are abuzz with testers angry over the fact that the MCE expired on Jan 1, 2006.

If you adjust your date/time to before Jan 1, 2006 MCE will unexpire.

Update 1: We’ll have an official response shortly so please hold off installing any hacks until that time.

Update 2: David let’s us know where to get an official fix:

If you have access to the Vista Beta site the fix is up there. If you don’t have access you either got it from MSDN or “other” means.

MSDN will have the fix a bit later.
