Turn your IR remote into an RF one
A co-worker today told me about Solid Signal’s Invisible Multi-Room Remote Extender:
Turn your infrared remote into a Digital RF remote. Works through walls, doors, and floors! Easy set-up, works with virually all remotes!
Apparently it does this by measuring the power draw on the batteries of your remote which indicates the IR signal being sent and converts that to an RF signal instead.. Sounds neat.
